Born in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais - Brazil, Frederico I. Martins Malverde (Fred Malverde) acquired bachelor's degree in Violoncello at UEMG (University of Minas Gerais, Brazil) in 2005. Before that, he studied classical guitar and violoncello at Clovis Salgado`s Foundation in Belo Horizonte between 1997 and 2000, where he became a member of the Guitar Orchestra and the Youth String Orchestra of the "Palácio das Artes" and also member of the 'Autêntica Jazz Band' as guitar and Banjo player.  

He was teaching music and cello in several institutions in Brazil such as: Sergipe's Conservatory of Music (2005) Aracajú., Cultural Center of Pedreira Padre Lópes(2006) Belo Horizonte, Colégio Cenecista (2007) Uberaba, Anabá Waldorf School (2009) Florianópolis. He composed and produced several tracks for theater and short films, including "O Alto da Barca do Inferno" - 2005: Mark Vogel assembly at the FIT (International Festival Street Theatre Bh,Brazil), "Atrás dos olhos das meninas sérias" (2007: Direction of Juarez Dias), "Viandeiros" (2008: Luiz Canoa assembly) and short movies as  "Lilith" a tale of EVOLOVE 2014: Anima (Berlin) "O" by Samuel Moncharmont 2014-15 (France-Berlin), "Come Back" 2015 (Damascus-Berlin). 

Frederico joined musical groups of different genres (rock, jazz, choro, tango and classical music). He was member of many types of orchestra and the most important experiences were:  Imprensa Oficial de Minas Gerais  2001,  Orchestras from the university UFMG and UEMG in 2002, Primavera (Andersen Viana) 2003 ,Orchestra from State of Sergipe . He has also performed beside great musicians such as Hermeto Pascoal, Sidy Ornelas, Mestre Salustiano, Baby do Brazil, Patrice Fischer (USA), André Meymari, Andersen Viana, Sylvia Klein and many others. Also, he has participated of Masterclasses with many distinguished performers, including Dennis Parker (USA), Antônio Menezes (Brazil), Martin Ostertag (Germany), Nikolas Krassik (France/Brazil) and Maria Alice Brandão (Brazil), Maurício Carrilio (Brazil), Léo Brouwer (Cuba), Ricardo Herz(Brazil) and others. He has studied with Hans Twitchell`s tutoring from 2010-13. From 2011-13, played with Filarmonia Santa Catarina's Orchestra and the String Orchestra of Santa Catarina. During this period, he has participating in a cello and flute duo with Cristian Faig called “Dupla Neta”, made part of the string quartet "Catavento", beside the composer and guitarist Felipe Coelho and presents a Cello's solo concert called Entre Mundos. 

Nowadays, Fred Malverde lives in Berlin. He is playing and organizing different projects with people from different parts of the world as, for example: Avoado Trio (instrumental jazz brazilian music), Cello and Harmonica duo with Endre Vazul (Hungary), Tom Brasil Project, Piazzolla Nights and also an ensemble of Kurdish music with musicians from Syria.
